> Moment, action, visibility, impact, feedback, repeat. Run the loop every week and a scroll-past audience turns into a community that shows up.

Viral posts are great. They're also gone in 48 hours. The creators who actually move decision-makers don't rely on going viral; they run the same simple loop, week after week, until showing up becomes a habit for their audience.

We call it the creator action loop. It's the engine behind every creator who wins on chilli.

## the loop in one table

| step | what happens | what you do on chilli |
|---|---|---|
| **moment** | Something gives you permission to ask: news breaks, a vote is scheduled, you drop new content. | Spot it, and move fast. |
| **action** | You give people one clear thing to do, right now. | Publish an action with 3+ ways to help. |
| **visibility** | People see other people acting. Momentum builds. | Share the counter, the share images, the "people did this" numbers. |
| **impact** | Something real happens: inboxes fill, a vote shifts, a company responds. | Collect the proof: numbers, replies, headlines. |
| **feedback** | You tell your supporters what they caused. | Post an update to "the fight so far". Say "because of you". |
| **repeat** | You do it again, and more people come back. | Next moment, next action. Your supporters get notified automatically. |

> **key insight**
>
> chilli's job isn't to manufacture urgency. It's to make action **repeatable**. The loop is how a one-time viewer becomes someone who shows up every week.

## step by step

### 1. moment

Asking for action out of nowhere feels like spam. Asking when people are already angry, moved or curious feels like an answer. There are four kinds of moments (external news, your own content, community rallies, chilli campaigns), and [pick the moment: when to ask your followers to act](https://creators.chilli.club/resources/pick-the-moment.md) breaks them all down.

### 2. action

Turn the feeling into one specific, fast thing to do. On chilli, that's an **action** (the page) with several **ways to help** (the tasks): an email to the decision-maker, a comment on their post, a call to their office. Keep it tied to the moment. If the news is about a pipeline, the action is about that pipeline, not "climate in general".

### 3. visibility

Private actions feel lonely. Public ones feel like a movement. Every way to help on chilli shows a live counter, and the action page shows how many supporters already took action. Screenshot it, post it, tag people. Participants become recruiters here. Tips in [make it shareable: turn your supporters into recruiters](https://creators.chilli.club/resources/make-it-shareable.md).

### 4. impact

Something has to happen, and you have to be able to show it. It doesn't need to be total victory. "3,200 emails to Senator X" is impact. "The council added it to next week's agenda" is impact. "They turned off comments on their post" is, honestly, also impact.

### 5. feedback

This is where most creators drop the ball. Supporters who never hear back assume it didn't matter, and they stop acting. Post an **update** on your action (text, photo, video or voice note). chilli sends it to everyone who took part, by email and push. Open with "because of you", then the numbers, then what's next. Full guide: [close the loop: show your supporters their action mattered](https://creators.chilli.club/resources/close-the-loop-with-updates.md).

### 6. repeat

New moment, new action. Each lap is easier: your supporter list is bigger, your people trust you more, and the "they heard us" update from last week is the best ad for this week's ask.

## what it looks like at full speed

The Captain Paul Watson Foundation ran this loop all season against Icelandic whaling. When one target went quiet, they opened a new front: banks, insurers, ports, hotels, embassies. Every wave came with updates, so supporters could see their pressure at work and came back for the next one.

- **47K+** actions taken
- **5K** supporters
- **8+** pressure fronts opened

## the loop, on a calendar

A weekly rhythm that works for most creators:

- **Monday**: spot the moment, create the action, schedule the ways to help.
- **Tuesday to Thursday**: post it (reel, stories, comment-to-DM), share the counter as it climbs.
- **Friday**: post an update with the numbers. Thank people by name.
- **Next Monday**: go again.

> **avoid this**
>
> Running the loop once and calling it a strategy. The first lap builds the list. The fifth lap builds the movement.

## your next move

Every loop starts with the right moment. Learn to spot it: [pick the moment: when to ask your followers to act](https://creators.chilli.club/resources/pick-the-moment.md).

## keep going

- [pick the moment: when to ask your followers to act](https://creators.chilli.club/resources/pick-the-moment.md): People act when they already feel something. Tie every ask to a live moment (a vote, a scandal, your new video, a creator collab) and it stops feeling like spam.
- [close the loop: show your supporters their action mattered](https://creators.chilli.club/resources/close-the-loop-with-updates.md): People who act and never hear back stop acting. Post an update within a week, name the numbers, and say "because of you". That's how one-time supporters come back.
- [make it shareable: turn your supporters into recruiters](https://creators.chilli.club/resources/make-it-shareable.md): Your reach stops at your followers. Your supporters' reach doesn't. Give them something worth sharing and a reason to do it, and every action brings in the next wave.
- [your first 30 days on chilli: a week-by-week plan](https://creators.chilli.club/resources/your-first-30-days.md): Week 1 launch one action. Week 2 show what it did. Week 3 run two more and test new types. Week 4 check your insights and lock in a weekly rhythm.
